Welcome to American Legion Post 703

Together, members of The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary, the Sons of The American Legion and the The American Legion Riders make up what is known as The Legion Family. All these organizations place high importance on preserving our American traditions and values, improving the quality of life for our nation's children, caring for veterans and their families, and perhaps most importantly, teaching the fundamentals of good citizenship.

To all of Legion Family members:

As we approach Memorial Day, I would like to announce color guard practice dates and times. I am asking for everyone interested in being part of the color guard to attend these practices, in order to build our participation list, coordinate the uniform, get to know one another, and for all of us to perfect the process .

Saturday April 28,  11am- 1pm ,
Saturday May 5,     11am- 1pm
Saturday May 19,   11am- 1pm, full uniform practice

We will meet at the Legion, discuss uniforms, work on drills, and build confidence within the group.

I may have to work on Memorial Day, so an alternate Sergeant of the Guard would be advised for each practice.

It would be nice to have enough members to cross train between flag bearers, and rifle squad.

Please contact and forward these dates and information to anyone that may not have an email .

Please contact Jim Locke if you have any questions at gijim@sbcglobal.net, or at 847-431-9076

Thank you,
Jim Locke
