American Legion Riders

NEWSLETTER:

The American Legion Legacy Run took off in September from Indianapolis on a circuit route to the National Convention in Milwaukee. I am pleased to announce that the Post 703 American Legion Riders were able to raise over $1,000.00 this year for the Legacy Fund. A big thank you goes out to all that donated, our SAL in particular for their generous gift this year.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mickey Woods and Shirley Horseman for getting a flag guard together for Fire Chief Stuart Hoehne’s visitation and funeral services. This was an honor that they personally felt was deserved and required for our 58 year member and stepped up to the challenge. Their efforts garnered praise for the Post and the Legion Riders from many members of the Village and the Fox Lake Fire Department. Thank you for caring so much!

Summer is winding down but this year isn’t over yet. We have a Labor Day parade in Zion, Veterans Day in observance in Fox Lake and the Fox Lake Christmas parade just after Thanks Giving. Keep the bike ready to roll through November and join us in these and other events.
