WELCOME TO MARCH! In like a lion and out like a lamb. Hopefully that means RIDING WEATHER!!!!!! My toys all go into storage for winter and I just can’t wait to get them out again.

We are very busy this year and Spring is no exception. Meat Raffle March 19th. Let’s get out there and show them how this is done. There will be multiple raffles and multiple prizes for each raffle. You can’t do better than winning prime cuts of meat! Unless, you eat the Corned Beef and Cabbage John is cooking up that very same night. Get down to the Post between 4 and 6 and has some of the MOST TENDER corned beef backed up by potatoes and cabbage, horseradish on the side. Oh yeah, the Riders will have a little something special for the Early Birds!

APRIL BREAK OUT RUN. We shall gather and we shall ride. Road Captains are working on a warm up run between 50 and 100 miles. Of course, we will stop somewhere for lunch. Round trip ends at the Post for a last goodbye for the day. So, plan for April 18th and we will do our best to get the weather we need. However, if the weather does not cooperate, the 25th is our rain date. I would LOVE to see 25 bikes roll out of the Post for the day.

May is Legion Riders Month! On the First we will be working with Save-A-Vet on a fund raiser (Need a new tattoo? Save money and help out S.A.V. and ALR 703), ask a Rider how you can participate. On 22 May we have our annual bike blessing with ALR Chapter 911 from Wauconda. Then, the BIG EVENT; THE RUN TO THE WALL! The traveling Vietnam memorial wall will be in Northbrook for Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday, 29 May, the ALR 703 Group will be sponsoring a run from Fox Lake to Northbrook to visit the wall. This is a compelling memorial that is being brought to the public sponsored by the Northbrook American Legion Post. We will do our best to keep you informed on the run and its schedule. However, for now we have A LOT OF MOTORCYCLES, many cars and at least one bus that will carry 4 wheel chairs and about 20 other passengers. Quickest way to get an update is to click on CURRENT EVENTS.

Take care and we will see you at the Post.

Oh yeah, got the bike out on the 19th of Feb and terrorized Antioch. Just too much sun out there not to ride!
