Dear Veterans and Friends,

During the 4th of July weekend, American Legion Post 208 in Arlington Heights is open for extended hours offering food and beverages. This is a very active time during which we need volunteers to help.

The Legion is asking for volunteers to help in 3 hour shifts from Friday, June 30th thru Tuesday, July 4th.

After completing a shift, the Legion will provide the volunteer with a meal and two drink tickets good for sodas or bar drinks if age 21 or over. Unlimited water/soda while volunteering, but no alcohol while on duty.

Volunteers (age 18 and above) are needed in seven stations:

1. Ticket sales – food station and drink station

2. Grill & Corn Roasting – cooking burgers, brats and corn

3. Kitchen Duty - serving the cooked food from the Legion kitchen

4. Popcorn Station - selling and making popcorn (it’s simple!)

5. Ice Cream Station - selling ice cream (it's right next to the popcorn station - perfect for a husband/wife team, best friend team, teens, etc.)

6. Clean Up - trash removal, table clean up

7. Security - stationed at front area and at back door to ensure no alcohol leaves the premises

Except for cooking and security, all volunteer areas are inside the air conditioned Legion Hall.
